Mission background

It is March 1944, and Operation Overlord is being planned.

Viscount ‘Alec’ Towton summons the investigators to London for a top-secret meeting. Alec tells the players that the British Security Service has learned of an old Breton legend about three holy Breton crowns buried near the coast of what is now Normandy to keep away English invaders.

General Montgomery has tasked Section M to investigate the legend and neutralise the crowns...

While the scenario is provided without stats, I have provided pre-generated characters and statistics for Fate Accelerated.

Pre-generated characters:

• Dr. Penny Wilson, a newly trained medical doctor originally from Coventry
• Ms. Rachel McKenzie, an industrial chemist previously working for the Thorpe Arch munitions factory near Leeds                
• Rev. Colin Johns, a country vicar whose faith is being challenged
• Captain Julian Hill, an experienced Special Service Brigade commando, now with Section M
• Sgt Billy Yates, Section M commando, transferred from the 7th Armoured Division (the Desert Rats)
